Killington 5/7/2010

Well was a good week, started last Saturday in Jay, with some nice conditions. then worked our way over to Mt. Washington on Wednesday to some excellent backcountry skiing and ended Friday in Killington with a hike up and run down Superstar. Superstar still has some nice cover, just two spots that require minimum walking. I took my time hiking up, this was a walk in the woods after Mt. Washington. Got to the top just in time to meet a group of locals that had also hiked up. Hung out for a little bit and chatted with them before starting my descent. I'd say the top 10-15% of the Headwall was bare and required a lil walk down. Then there was good cover about 2/3 of the way down middle Superstar after which I hit another bare spot, maybe about 30 feet. From here it was clear sailing to the bottom. Once at the bottom I saw the lift still wasn't running and called it a day :) This week made for a nice end to the season.
