141MB? Hey M@ didn't you buy some video software lately? Convert it to MPEG1 or 2 and it should be fine... or is this a full featured 2 hr special? :D

Videos are a pain.. need lots of CPU, memory and fast disk.

I'm downloading your movie now... it will take 38 min on my 1MB DSL connection .

I'll play with the compression... it's not wicked long. Maybe 3 min. Not super high rez either - I don't get it. But I'll figure it out.

M@

I use Roxio Video Wave 5 and convert to MPEG1 (definately not the best quality) and they comes in at about 10MB/min (320x240).

MPEG2 is the more desireable choice and comes in at about 30MB/min (640x480) or 1.8GB/hour.

Why is it that every time i hear  I think of that video of the guy cartwheeling down the chute. Perhaps it has something to do with the Springfield Gorge.

Hey M@ great job! Was that RR coming down The Chute? Who was that coming down the Lip?

Nice production work!

Tnx for the mention in the trailer :o

RR coming down Chute.

Rainman coming over lip on the right of the cliff, RR on the left after him.

just finished watching the video, from what i could pick out it was pretty sweet, but it played upside down. Any suggestions on fixing that?

I'll render the clip of your friend hucking the cliff there - it'll be smaller, and I'll try a couple different file types so you'll get it for sure.

I fixed it, for some reason by divx player was being obstinate. It worked in a different program. :D

Mumster,

I wish I could get out there this weekend but it's not looking promising. Surfette has a Physics test and I can't get Friday night off. Little tough to drive all night and hit Pinkham at 7:00 am without any sleep at all. Body parts break there without sufficient rest.

Don't think anyone's asked yet -- what are the tunes? Not something you recorded at the concert last weekend...

I was going to ask that too. M@ has good taste.

I should probably list the tune in the cedits eh?

It's "Push on till the Day" by Trey Anastasio, the lead guitar player from Phish.

Trey toons are kewl cause he's big into the "Build up and Release" type stuff - so you get a couple musical parts where it's BANG! And you throw some dood catching air right there and it's all good.

Wow, that was great, thanks M@! fun from the doggie chasing the 'cat at the start to the chicken clucking noises at the end. Made me wish I was there right now!

Push On... Funny choice... you know what that song is about, right?

"Glass table in a 5 star room, and the sun always comes up much too soon..."

Kinda figured Trey was saying something about drugs or booze or pot (wait, that's a drug right?) - but the toon is kewl, and I really like the organ.

"Little bit a mary all night long."

Great video. Did not know I was going to be imortalized. :o

I like the effects and transition of the pixs. I now need to go back and redo my video from last year. I also need to resize down from 500mb.

Good Job M@. I like the enhanced version. It brought a smile to my face. Thee feeling of first tracks, or the feeling of accomplishment you get from challenging yourself and then successfully executing.

I wish. I did not get first tracks, but I did challenge myself, although not quite successfully. It was definelty exhilarating.

M@ did capture all of the above quite well.

Finhead, You (all of you) get the bonus points just for being there that day. It was probably the biggest "weather score" I've ever heard of. The last thing thought you guys would get is sun with undercast.

I have no complaints. :D The day was amazing. I survived and learned some valuable lessons about my abilities :skierembarrassed: :skierpetrified: which will keep me coming back, but within limits. Any day followed by another is a good one in my book. :)
