Member Locator Map

Well finally starting on a member locator. Will be enhanced a bit later with zoom, mouseover info and such once its populated. It'll be one of those 'works in progress'.

Some members are a bit vague or don't want their location identified... no problem. I'll only put members on who I have a head shot of and they have the town or city they live in, specified in their user profile. So if not on, let me know your town, state and ensure I have your head shot.

If I don't have a head shot for you, upload or email a shot of you (good clear photo that includes your head :D )

I totally dig it! But I can think of a few more you should be able to add already... DMC, Mumster, Dudester, ...... and then some...
Will there be a mouseover to show the towns name in the future?

ps. try getting an aerial photo from mapquest... just a thought

Nope... not specified in their profile. Yes I'll update it to a larger map and have mouse over info... probably info from profile, or a special text area you can enter in your profile to appear on the member locator.. maybe sound bite, personal video, quiver list, fav beer... whatever you like.

You can throw me into Irondequoit NY, between Syracuse and Buffalo. Strange map though, Irondequoit is a suburb of Rochester which isn't on the map. I'm actually 4 miles east of Irondequoit. GPS N 43° 07.634 W 077° 29.425.

Just updated that actually....Its northern NJ Denville to be EXACT, but Morristown's the biggest close town.

Just southeast of Hanover, NH and White River Jct., VT (the Jct. of I-91 and I-89) you'll find Harkin lazing on beautiful Lake Sunapee (NH), about 2-3/4 hrs from Pinkham... close enough for day tripping!!

I think we need to expand the map to include Colorado........very important member has moved out there..need to keep her happy...might need to crash there......not mentioning names so maybe she wont notice.....shhhhhh.

Maybe instead of extending the map all the way, have her on the border or something... the granularity is pretty good right now, if you zoom out to Col it's gonna be everyone right on top of TUX and then one or two out liers.

But don't we have some GIS type experts here?
