Yup! weather was uncooperative. KMRN and I, having gotten a really early start, bailed at HoJos at about 10:45 and hiked out after suggesting that Mumster. Dudester, and Dadster dump their packs and make a dash for the bowl so Dadster could at least see it (or that which could be seen of it). The temp at HoJos dropped from 20 to 18 in the first ten minutes we were there. We had both had a stellar :bluebird: a week ago, so no biggie.
Met Liziles just above bridge three and gave him the scoop. He continued on not having another chance this year. Rainman and Sloopy weren't far behind him but somehow I didn't recognize them without my beer goggles on. They eventually hooked up with a slightly underprepared Liziles and loaned him a fleece and guided him up for a run.
MistaT and his gang of 8 or 10 were another 15 minutes or so behind Liziles, we chatted on the radio until we realized we looking down the trail (up the trail) at each other.
SkicDave and 30 Ottawans were at the top of the lower switchbacks thinking it was sunny and warm. We chatted for a few minutes and confirmed a 6:00pm dinner arrangements. (One of these Ottawans, I learned later, hiked up the chute and fell skiing back down, only to hike right back up it and fall AGAIN.)
Mumster and Dave have pics so hopefully they get posted soon

Just kidding.
Skilasnow, check out my post about L Ron Hubbard in the general discussion forum.
The thread is titled "Hey Rainman, Sloopy, & Skilasnow "
Hope there are no scientologists in this forum.

That whole Dianetics thing sounds sketchy, I wouldn't put it past him, so maybe after he did that he started to actually believe it and that's when he lost it...

That's an interesting theory. Could someone create an elaborate hoax, and then start to actually believe it themselves? Sort of proverbially stepping in your own sh!t, I guess.
I believe that L. R. H. created the whole mess just to prove he could (and for the money), but it definitely seems like he's lost a few screws since then.
