Hey RiverRat:
What are you using to edit movies, and more importantly, do you like it?

I'm using Pinnacle Studio 9, and this my latest creation:

(20meg, right click save as)

I like Studio 9 a lot, but it seems a little slow in the designer windows, and it crashes at least once per project... at first that burned me, but now I save constantly.

It has a TON of transition effects, and I'm trying to learn the balance of using them vs. abusing them. It reminds me of the Simpsons episode (well... pretty much everything reminds me of SOME simpsons episode)... but the one I mean is where homer is making a video of ned, and he keeps telling Lisa to "Okay - now Star Wipe to flanders in the shower... and Star Wipe to the credits" and lisa says, "There's lots of other transitions other than start wipe..." and homer says something like, "Why eat hot dogs when you can have prime rib!" or something.

My town has a TV station, and did a video of the 4th of july, and I swear they used about 100 different transitions.

I suppose you could say that it was the "floor" of right gully. Lunch rocks would be right behind the camera man. Last summer wasn't as much snow - deeply (4"-5") sun cupped, and very dirty..... which doesn't bother me a bit.

I used Ulead Video Studio5.0 - This was the first time I used it.... actually, the first time I attempted to make a movie. I used most of the transitions, as I was just playing around. A pro would never do something so whimsical

I use video Roxio Video Wave 5 myself. After a bit of playing around, I scrapped use of all the extra stuff and just concentrated on editting scenes / adding background music and what not. No time mon!
