I use the best browser ever: Mozilla Firefox. Got some cool skins for it and the extensions are hot! Mouse gestures rule for browsing and navigating.

Been using firefox since like version 0.8. I did the 1.0pr but it didn't have the same functionality as the 0.9.3 version so I switched back. All my extensions didn't work in 1.0pr.

Try the Bug me not extension, works great for those sites that want you to register. With the extension I think you can just right click the username cell and click bug me not and it will give you a "dummy" login.

FIREFOX does rock....I think the broswer wars are back on track.

I've tried a bunch that's for sure. Opera, most of the Mozzila family etc. I use Omniweb and Safari the most, although I keep Firefox around. IE was the first to go - i've trashed all but the three above though.

Firefox here too.
My extensions are":
-Dom Inspector 1.0
-Web Developer0 .98
-EditCCS 0.2.0
-All-in-One Gestures 0.11.1
-DictionarySearch 0.6.1
-GMailCompose0.2.2

I have the 1.0PR at home, and REALLY miss the gestures... but I also have the Stumbler plugin at home and love it.

FireFox 1.0 PR which I find much better than any of the previous incarnations of it. I'm not much into the extensions, and the only one I used to use (liveheaders) stopped worked back at .7

I keep IE around for dev work only.

The mouse gestures are the best extension, IMO. I love not having to move the damn mouse all over the screen to navigate!

I downloaded Firefox. Didn't see that it was any faster than IE. Requires downloading plugins and what nots just for simple thinks like midi (oh yah it doesn't handle such basic requirements... yet). Its fussy about html coding also so somes ites format incorrectly. Sorry.. didn't do it for me, maybe down the road...

Netscape is also horrible for formatting html correctly.

So... back to IE. Its a HOG but thow 1GB of memory, 2.4Ghz+ at it and its still your best bet for surfing.

FireFox is fussy with bad HTML and sometimes does misformat when pages are coded incorrectly. Being part of the MS family means that IE automatically can digest junk input (just as most of their proprietary formats are) and give a somewhat reasonable rendering.

FireFox may not be exceptionally faster, but it does have tabs which make web browsing SOOO much better, especially when going through forums or google results. Find as you type is way nifty and having font sizes adjust not matter what the style sheet is how it should be. Built in RSS reader in your bookmarks, excellent built in ad and pop up blocking and search engines and other dynamic tools (such as ebay, dictionary, amazon search, etc) you can add directly into the interface.

I've puposely not installed most of the plugins for FireFox because as soon as I install shockwave or midi, I end up seeing ads or hearing annoying tinny midi songs while visiting sites. When I need shockwave I just start up IE.

The audible tone I hear in my brain while reading the text on the graphic is quite exhilarating on its own.
