http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/cool.gifIt should be a clear crisp night to watch this! Take your TV outside tonight so you can watch the game and this celestial event. http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif

On Wednesday night, Oct. 27th, North Americans can see a total eclipse of the moon.

Just heard we won't see this from North America again until 2008! So get out there and check it out.

The Tommy T. family will have astronomical binocs and an 8" SCTelescope set up in Acton, MA to watch this and have invited friends over to join in the fun. First contact with the umbra will occur around 9:13 and take about 70 minutes to reach totality. About 15 minutes before midnight totality will end and the Moon will move entirely out of the umbra just before 1am.

We are expecting afternoon cloudiness, gradually clearing during the evening, so most and maybe all of this will be visible.

Refreshments will be available (bring dark beer) but we don't have cable, satelite or even an outside antenna and Channel 25 looks like something from 1957.

Any T4Ters in the area that want to stop by for all or any part may send me a Private Message with an email address for directions.

Tommy T.

Sounds like Tommy probably has some sort of library in that house of his.

We'll have the scope and binocs ready, but I'll probably be watching the Red Sox at home. If they win in tonight I'll probably head into Nashua and try to get a beer at the Nashua Garden and revel with the crowds.
