Ski&Ride and I are planning to hike and ski Sherburn, maybe even Tucks, Left Gulley sounds skiable by RR's report, this Sunday. We have alternate plans, conditions determining, to ski *****cat, Attitrash, or Someday Bigger, or Cannon.

El Bagr has expessed interest as has Rainman, and I suspect a few other Brettl Hupfers might join the fun, ...

We will have our radios tuned to 9:14. Post here if you are concidering, Left Gulley sounds good and Sherburn should be skiable untill the switchbacks level.

Manny Ramierez is supposed to be in Nashua, but it's a $300 ticket to get his autograph so I might say screw that - dunno if I can tear away from the in-law-fun though.

Put me down for 13%

hummm, weather for Sunday doesn't look frightful, but it looks wet with very slick surfaces and a wash-off retreat of the snowline to the Cache on Sherborne. I think you will be picking your way quite a bit if the below holds true. Sometimes I am able to hold out for a silverlining to such forcasts...not this time. It looks like there might be a decent dry-up in the waning daylght hours of Sunday afternoon, but that's the best I could hope for..as a long shot.

Here's what WUnderground says about the Summit Forcast!
Thursday
Showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms. Thunderstorms may have damaging winds...large hail and heavy rain. Highs in the mid 50s...then temperatures falling into the 40s late this afternoon. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
Tonight
Mostly cloudy. Rain and snow showers likely in the evening ...Then a chance of snow showers after midnight. Snow accumulation up to 2 inches over higher terrain. Lows around 20. Brisk with northwest winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

Friday
Partly cloudy. A chance of snow showers in the morning. Much cooler with highs in the lower 30s. West winds 15 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 35 mph in the morning. Chance of snow 30 percent. Lowest wind chill readings as low as zero in the morning.
Friday Night
Mostly clear in the evening...then becoming partly cloudy. Lows around 17. West winds 10 to 15 mph...decreasing to around 5 mph after midnight.

Saturday
Partly cloudy in the morning...then mostly cloudy with a chance of snow in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50 percent.
Saturday Night
Mostly cloudy. A chance of light freezing rain mixed with sleet and snow in the evening...then a chance of light freezing rain and light sleet after midnight. Not as cold with lows in the upper 20s. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.

Sunday
Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain possibly mixed with freezing rain...snow and sleet in the morning...then a chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs around 40. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.

I figured that Sunday River was probably going to be a block of ice today. So I'm going tomorrow (Saturday 11-27) instead.

Sunday will be much warmer, you'll probably be dealing with some wet, grippy snow.

Anyone who's going up tomorrow, don't hesitate to PM me!

I hiked up Lafayette from the Cannon Tram parking lot. I'll post a bit of a TR in the appropriate location, but Cannon is quite closedad; in fact, no snow-making was happening there today, quite odd  .

In the Franconia Range the combination of warm temps and rain yesterday followed by colder weather today has resulted in ..........(fill in the blank). Yes, its seems to be Loose Granular time. Hopefully there are places that are better, or where conditions will improve by Sunday. I would love to join but am doing all-day hockey coach training on Sunday.
