I'm 80% going to Kmart tommorow. Carpooling with one other guy from work, meeting at NH Park&Ride near 89/93 Intersection at 7:50am. Plenty of room for more folks.

It's a NH/VT/Ottawa day, so tix are 1/2 price. Not sure of the conditions, but I think they've got the most goods within 2 hrs of me.

PS. Seriously, they either have to pay you for those days or you take them!
Check your contract!

Kmart was ok. Like 5 lifts open, serving what felt like 20 or so trails. (they're reporting 12 lifts and 109 trails... most inflated trail count I've ever seen) All the glades were roped off... but you know my theory on ropes. The best run of the day was the Julio glade. "These ropes were made for ducking, and that's just what I'll do... one of these days these boards are gonna ski right under you."

If you're going for a VT cheap day - be prepared for a 5 min wait or so while they put your info into the computer to issue you a "Vermont Card."

Killington is doing the new fangled tickets, with a wire tie type thing and the ticket looks just like a normal concert or red sox ticket with a hole punched for the wire tie thing. Different color wire tie based on where you got it, and they wand the barcode almost every time you go through the line... but there weren't any lines on wednesday execpt when then gangala would stop for a couple min.

Hit casey's kaboose for free wings and $4 long trail pints on they way out and got the "Caboose Table" - then the obligtory stop at the long trail brewery, where I actually did my first xmas shopping.

MMMmmm... double bag.

You know they count EVERY 10 foot trail connector as a trail..Hence the 109...I don't know about the lifts, cause of course I wasn't there, but I agree they do tend to inflate.

How was the snow? Inflated reports too? Hoping we get that little hit on Sunday/Monday for the upcoming holiday. I will be in KMART from Xmas day til after New Years. If anyones headed up let me know. I carry a radio and can tune to any channel you like, also hit up PM and i'll shoot cell phone info.

Snow was mostly man made and wind slab, with some soft bumps here and there - but behind the ropes in the trees we found some lovely powder with marginal base. I took the new skiis and the bases survived just fine.

For lifts - I didn't count the beginner bunny lift - there's probably two of those as well - and I think there was a t-bar or two.

Yeah, 60 of those hours will roll over to next year so I'll have plenty of time for skiing. And between now and the 1st I'll use up the other 6 days.

Here's hoping that Monday is the start of big snow.
