Isn't it a little early for MRG? I usually wait until they have a base there...
I put my money on Jay Peak. If you are going to be skiing in VT this week, that is the place to be...
Yup Jay would be nice.
Report from today from Sugarbush is LOTS of powder, and trees open all over. Since Sunday PM, the Mt got ~20" of snow on top of the 6" of rain crust. I skied ALL DAY in over my boot, under my knee pow.
Although I admit the chris-zagerration-factor is pretty significant. (i.e. he must make this a report of LIES)
Kmart - however, is close, cheap (tommorow) and has a lot of stuff open. Jay would be 1st choice. MRG would be very kewl though.

With*10 plus inches of new snow*overnight, nearly 2 feet since Friday and more on the way in the coming days the start of the 2005 Mad River Glen ski season is upon us. The plan is to open for the season on Thursday ~~
Thats good enough for me

This may be enough motivation to visit Jay.... you'll be rewarded the rest of the season if you do! http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
I am not being paid by or remunerated in any way by Jay Peak and it's holding company. This is not a paid advertisement. http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif

That is sad... me as well... I had hoped this would be the year that I could experience Paradise et al without bumps, in the fresh...just a few tracks before me, but alas, I expect killer bumps, and am pleased, also a little disappointed that I won't be creating them first :( but also :D :D :skiplow: :skiplow:
