I have been following this for the past two years and I was curious what other people think of it. I feel that the recently published reports were very biased and that many people are too caught up in the internet drama to objectively evaluate Frank Baumann’s work.
Any thoughts?

It's tragic. Ruedi guided for his whole career with no incidents, until this.
high level recreation in the mountains is as close to Bushido as any civilian ever gets.
...we know that death waits for us, we do not know the hour of his coming...but he comes for us in our beds and in the mountains without preference.
I have a preference, trusting my instincts and listening to the counsel of great teachers. Ruedi was acknowledged as one such before; now he has even more to teach. Once #1 son has finished college, I'll be headed out to the Selkirks and other places where the mountain will be itself and I will be myself.
