I'm thinking about GOS but I don't know if it will have time to settle?? If it's done snowing now then by the weekend it will hopefully be good. If you guys head up tomorrow be careful! Dig extra pits .. do extra tests and if it's bad .. turn back. Better to ski the trail today and ride the bowl next time than put yourself at risk.
Winds were supposed to be around 100 MPH on the summit last night so most of the wind loading should have already happen or be happening now. Be extra careful of cross loading and cornices with that kind of wind.

The decision has been made to either ride the sherburne, GOS trail/low angle MAYBE, wildcat, or other, if avi is high. Not even gonna bother to try if its anything above moderate.....I like Living....so does DMC.

Not to confuse the issue but they frequently will hold of on changing the report at the base if the conditions imporve. I've started hiking with the idea of just riding the sherburne because of the AVA report then gotten up to Ho Jo's and talked to the snow rangers to find out that everything was good to ride. :D It happen to M@, RR and myself last season. But it's a gamble and with the large amount of snow and wind loading with mixed precip .. dosen't look good.

Yup - that's how it happened - here's the picture from the bottom, Bowl = "Considerable" http://timefortuckerman.com/photopost/data/580/7bottom_avalanch1-med.jpg

And when we got up top - it was "Danger of Falling Ice"

Where you headed??

Not totally sure yet, could be talked into doing a bunch of different things. Jay has a wind hold today, same with Cannon, Sunday River, Wildcat. Could do some BC, but i think resort is the way to go tomorrow with it being a midweek pow day.

Maybe hit the GOS trail on sunday round 9ish? With the expected snow and winds I doubt avie conditions will allow much else.
