I may hit the ravine Tuesday, July 5. It's been too long -- since June. Anyone else interested?

Since I'm online now, it's back to work for me too. Thursday is looking like my go-day.

OK, looking good for tomorrow. Game plan is to make a dawn run to the snow, ski a while, then engage in a long walk. If there's a convenient way to avoid hauling T1s and Atomics all over the Presidentials, I'll consider it -- e.g. caching gear somewhere surreptitious, rambling above treeline, then descending to the cache and splitting.

Still, I may end up carrying and answering questions about why I'm hauling skis and boots down the Great Gulf or Glen Boulder (both of which are possible itineraries) -- depends on the views, I suppose, whether I'd rather avoid retracing my steps at the expense of carrying skis.

Tough one..... I was about to suggest that you talk to Greg at HoJo's to 'store' your ski gear for a while but it sounds like you might be heading onwards..... What about the observatory guys? They might hold them for a little while. Tell them you post regularly on T4T, then they won't look at you funny. Wouldn't hurt to ask. That way you wouldn't have to backtrack... just summit and move on and circle back to the summit.

Just food for thought.
