Fishing

I was up there on April 28th....what a great time....had a blast.

I have a question about fly fishing and though this would be a good place to ask it.

I noticed there was a nice stream right of off Rt 16. Anyone know how the fishing is there?

Any advice would be appreciated....thanks!

That's the Ellis. It's fair to good. Stocked and Fished heavily. The section just before and through Jackson is excellent FF territory for Bows. Further near Pinkham's (except at the bridge and Glen Ellis Falls) is tough to fish. I've also fished up toward Crystal Cascade and caught occasional brookies. If you are in the area, go about 6-7 miles further north and fish the Peabody - asyou get away form the road, it can be quite good. - SherpaKroto
