M@ & everybody,
Alta got pounded yesterday and today. Another storm in rolling in Monday and tuesday and the possibility of more later next week. I'm thinking its time to get out there. If the later week storms pan out, i'm thinking of flying out thurdsay night and staying until tuesday. Skiing Friday - Tueday. Anybody else?
I'm gonna be out there in feb, the 7th->12th : Already put a deposit on a condo. I am expecting a full report with GPS co-ords of any independantly discovered stashes... and GPS and procedure for procuring beers cause I hear it's an issue.

I'll be there-abouts in January - no GPS however, and no Alta for me. :(
For beer there's the supermarket. :)

It's looking like it'll dump this week.... just look at the national weather pattern and what's off the coast of Seattle! Woo Hoo! Steamboat got 30+ inches in the past 48 hrs and it's still snowing! The forecast says snow all week. I do believe Alta is in the same weather pattern.

Hey NHSki were you able to find a good airfare?
I havent been able to track down anything under $350 pp.
Or PWDR8S....anything cheap going to SLC January 3-8?
From Manchester or Logan.
I just paid $320 pp on southwest like 4 hrs ago.

I'm going to go either southwest or jet blue. Jet blue has $129 one way flights for some days, but not every flight. JB has that nice red eye coming home so you don't miss ski day due to flying and their planes are more comfortable. Southwest has some cheaper flights from MHT.

If anyone does Boston - Denver, try JetBlue flight 490 and 491 (I think those are right). They are red eye flights, but cheap.

When your atop high rustler take some pix, last year when I was there I missed it and ended up skiing to the left of it on Lone Pine I think, which still was good, but I missed what I was hiking for. We only skied ALTA 1 day so that 1 day was basicly exploratory.
Have fun, and eat some pow for me, it tastes good in UT.
