View Full Version : Sliding the week of Feb 26th-Mar 4th

OK...it's my vacation week that week and I have 5 BOGO Irving tickets and 6 free Gunstock tickets. I need suggestions on where I should be heading out. I live in Dover, NH but have a place to stay in Littleton, NH. Jay looks good and may be the only good choice. Every other area within driving distance is either too small or has no snow. I am open to any and all suggestions. I am also looking for some people to team up and use some of the BOGO tickets. I'd rather split it with one of you who really know the terrain in some areas. Let me know if you have any suggestions. As always :beer: :beer: for the help.

I think I'm gonna be skiing gunstock with the family on Monday the 27th. This doesn't help you with the decision on where it'll be best to ski, cause that usually isn't gunstock. It's a good place for the kids though, and my in-laws live live like 15min away so we drop off the 2yrold. We'll be skiing with the 5yr old and the father-in-law though - so I can only promise a run or two with ya, and a beer or two with ya apres. I seem to recall gunstock has some stuff under the lift on the left there maybe...

But for the real advice - get thee to Jay - there be the snow, as far as I know.

I can check...the guy organising just left for San Francisco so I can't get a hold of him until later tonight. He was checkin with a friend in Calgary to see if he wanted to come so I can let you know.

Well it looks like I am gonna hit Jay on Monday and Tuesday the 27th and 28th. Leaving really early Monday morning from the seacoast and getting to Jay for first chair. Staying over in Littleton on Monday night to ski Jay Tuesday and then probably drive back to the seacoast Tuesday afternoon unless the Roemer is right on the 1-2 feet for next week. I have some 2fer1 tickets...any one wanna split on Monday or Tuesday (or possibly Wednesday too)? Let me know.

Monday at Jay is looking good for me. Can't commit 100% yet, but if you're accessible via email or cell or radio or smoke signal or heliograph while you're up there we can meet up when I've got my ducks lined up better?

It'll be frosty on Mon/Tues but rumour has it that there IS snow coming in the future... real soon! And we all know Jay has it's OWN natural snowmaking cloud.

Jay is a go for Monday and Tuesday and probably Wednesday now as well. I think that jdw is going to be there on Monday but I have a few more 2fer1 tickets if others are interested. I will be leaving Dover, NH around 5am and will be staying in Littleton. Let me know.

We were going to be at gunstock yesterday but the cold prevented a faimly ski day. I think we're gonna try to go on friday. Any chance you'll be there then?

With talk of snow on Thursday, Friday is a possibility. It may come down to this; if the wife has school I ski. If she gets the day off I'll spend it with her. If I do ski on Friday it may be a 9 around 1 kinda day.

M@ are you still planning on going to Gunstock Friday (tomorrow)? Just wondering if we would be able to get a few turns in or not. Let me know. Any one else interested in Gunstock on Friday I still have some free tix. Give me a shout. :beer: in the afternoon on a Friday is always a good thing!
