thanksRaven Pro is good, but watch out for the pick being over ground to a positive aspect..they are hand finished, some are a little negative (that's better for climbing) and some are a little positive (better for self arrest).
The following is the sh!t:

I have a Charlet Moser, not sure which model, although I believe Petzl bought them out, it's worked well for the very little use I've given it.

I have been using the BD Raven (http://www.backcountry.com/store/BLD0243/c5/s54/Black-Diamond-Raven-Ice-Axe.html) for a couple seasons, and it has been a great axe. Now that I am on this weight kick I just bought the Camp XLA-210 (http://www.backcountry.com/store/CMP0019/c5/s54/CAMP-USA-XLA-210-Ice-Axe.html), the lightest axe that I could find.

When it comes to someone else buying it for me, i can afford to be a weight snob myself....plus i am getting to be one anyway. hmmmmmmmm, now who do i hit up for it? the wife? dad? santa? so many decisions.
thanks for all the input so far.

Some kind of cheap, heavy BD (maybe raven) mountaineering axe (75 cm). Thinkin bout upgrading to a lighter axe, but I carry / use it so infrequently (pretty much tux, GOS, Oakes) that I don't know if its worth it.
Yeah - I want a pair o quarks too.
I have a Raven... I use it all the time to get around at Tucks - instead of using poles...

I have the raven 75; it's been fine as a walking stick, haven't needed it for arrest so far.
Saw these on the web yesterday; no experience with them, but could be decent deals:

The first two are about as light as the Raven Pro (except they have aluminum heads, not stainless), and the last is similar to the Raven in weight.

Several:
For BC Skiing (and third climbing): a 65cm REI c.1988(?). I recently picked up a Petzl something-or-other 75 cm with a telescopic ski pole section. Very sexy. probably will replace the old warhorse for non-technical stuff.
A pair of BD x-15's (straight shaft knuckle-mashers) are still in the cellar, but have been replaced by a pair of knuckle-friendly C-M bent shafts. I don't climb ice much anymore. I should sell them...
