I'm looking to get a AT set up. Whats the best store around (New England) as far as gear and knowledgable sales staff?

Ragged Mountain (http://www.raggedmountain.com/) and IM (http://www.ime-usa.com/)E up in the N. Conway area are good.
There is also some good info on various backcountry ski realted web sites to help you get an idea of what the options are. Lou Dawsons (http://www.wildsnow.com/) site is a wealth of info, also check out the Couloir (http://www.couloirmag.com/) website, and some of the folk over at a website called T4T (http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/) can be helpful too. :D
Welcome to the club!
EMS and Joe Jones Wilderness House too. Neither have the Dynafit setups yet. EMS has some G-Rides from last year that could save some dough.
You could always buy your boots local (Wilderness House has good selection adn bootfitters) and go to backcountry.com (who have truly excellent customer service, believe it or not, if you call) or the like for the rest of your setup. IIRC, I've seen Megarides in the past at IME & Wilderness House, if you're talking Dynafit.

This place is mainly tele, but has some AT gear too:

I hear this place is great, but kind of a haul to get to:
http://www.mountaineer.com/
I also have jigs for Dynafit, Diamir, and Naxo in case anyone ever needs to stop by to mount your own. (But sorry, not off-site loaners.)

Thanks. It just might be worth the trip to NY to check that place out. But seeing the pic on the mtntravelers site of the guy dropping airplane gully on tele skis last year make me rethink, maybe I should just update my tele equiptment.
