The hot, humid weather brought out the black flies in force this weekend. They were viscious! It also is doing a number on the snow. Conditions have deteriorated significantly since last saturday. There was skiing to be had but runs are getting fewer and shorter. One ranger was actually suggesting not skiing. There is much brown seen in the snow now and quite a bit of undermining by water. Use caution...and bring heavy-duty bug repellent, or nets. This ski season is nearing its end.
