I am planning a trip next year in early April, since I'm from Georgia it takes a fair bit of planning. Could some explain what are these shelters? Are they small places to stay on the mountain? Just could someone tell me details, and full cost. Thanks!

The shelters are up the mountain via the Tuckerman Ravine trail.. about a 2 hr hike up from Pinkham Notch. Your other options are the Joe Dodge Center at Pinkham, camping at nearby Dolly Cop or staying in a motel in Gorham or North Conway.
