Looks some script kiddy over at skiigears.com discovered a way to make a few cents a year by putting a ski-boot link harvesting site up with the URL = TimeForTuckerman.ORG

What a hoser.

It's (C) 2003, and maybe I even mentioned it before and forgot - but it's lame to pose.

yeah, i don't get it either. Skiigears.com is a boot farm, but both tuckerman.net and tuckerman.org aren't. tuckerman.net doesn't even load.

Someone is domain sitting on TimeForTuckerman.org, relying on people mistyping timefortuckerman.com to get traffic and then advertising dollars.

The solution, as always, is to buy all versions of your domain name before you launch the site. :)

Probably gets about 10 visits a day.... from bots. Sites like that serve no purpose and likely generate about a couple of bucks a year. This looks like many of the domain farms that have 100,000's of domain which 'then' make it worthwhile.

I used to buy alternate version of domains for sites I am involved with, but haven't bothered in recent years.... waste of money. The traffic goes to the 'real' site, not some crap ad farm with no content that trys to piggy back onto a .com

If they had any inclining of traffic, they would at least come up on Google if you searched on 'tuckerman ravine' or 'time for tuckerman'.... nada in this case.
