i've got a small contingent (bethel) forming for a tour to gos tomorrow. no axes or crampons in our group though. if it ain't edgeable/bootable slab, we ain't goin near it. ther are some near/below treeline exotic options however.
we'll be suitin up around 8:30-9.

weather's gonna be on the edge more than i'd hoped but, more often than not the rock provides some nice surfaces in the right places.

the group got smaller with 3 or for of us, (cover more ground in a shorter amount of time) crew. those who backed out weren't ready for the annual chic choc tryouts, oh well. we're leaving our options open and may bring spikes for our boots just in case. tux may be the call if the sun is shining as aspects near LC will hold more heat and sun. i've also thought of heading to oakes to hit some protected southerly stuff. so many choices. we'll be there for 830 or so.
maybe see ya in the lot. it'll be good to check things out, get a workoutand assess for wednesdays new snow if we get some.

OK. Chute to RG, plus the Claw should be good. Oaks is just over the top. Conditions look really good, provided the clouds behave according to weather.com's hour by hour forecast.

i'll be sleeping with scenarios swirling. the backside of slide peak could be interesting in places as well as valley of the kings.
