I just bought a Sling-ski from www.Sling-Ski.com. It rocks!

It must suck hiking into the BC with your GS suit on.

What benefit would this have over my DaKine pack?

Can we see a pic of you "Rock'n" that sling in the BC?

This post seems like "Link Building" efforts to me folks.....

Where does your beer go?

This might very well be link-building, or it could just be a happy consumer sharing his info.

Either way, the gear is very realavent to the Tuckerman Ravine, and doesn't appear to have been posted by an automated system.

So: Moderation wise - I'm not going to moderate the post.

Personally - the problem with the device for Tuckerman is that it looks like it doesn't carry much else then skis + poles. You usually need at least water and a bunch of other gear for a typical tuckerman trip.

Maybe it works in conjunction with a backpack? I dunno.

Plus, it just isn't as sexy-sounding as the 'g-string'....maybe they could get Julia to promote that...

Yeah, yeah....say what you want. I left my pack at the base of GOS on Sunday and used a cordolette to sling my skis...worked surprisingly well with the frischi binding on the Nomads I demo'ed for the weekend....yeah, I'm lazy and cheap!

Yahhhh you cheap lazy bastid! :p ;) Heh heh heh....... it's a good setup if you're doin laps once you're in the bowl. I got a g-string for just that and it works great 'cept lack of hydration bladder. Did laps on the E snowfields with one as well... lightweight and practical with limits. Ya can't carry beer on /in it! I suppose that's what pockets are for and frequent beer refilling stops between runs.

Put the beer in your hydration bladder and wear the bladder on a sling too (just don't fall on it) :)
Although you guys are so good you probably don't fall to begin with. I'm a keepin' my solid Nalgene bottle until I am less likely to be sliding downhill headfirst on my back. :yardsale:

Here I thought someone was offering their services as a sherpa, and instead he is hawking some overpriced product (and one that does not look all that suited for the proposed use). Spqr: post some photos of your using it on Mt. Washington, especially of you using it to carry your skis up the headwall!

I use this:

Sure, I got it in a raffle but it has been a real handy item!

Love the cross-carry and the all-temps beverage dispenser...life is good!
