Lightbulb Snow Hopeful

Im praying there will be enough snow mid may!
I cant get anyone to go up with me (from PA) until then, but ill ride a 10ft. section of snow if i have to.

Hmm... another post comes back alive after 4 years! hee hee.

The original thread was discussing May 2000. This year is more than likely a bit less coverage for the same time period.

I do wonder what my *41* was all about...

Question

heading up to tuckermans as soon as finals are over, can anyone let me know what the conditions are like? I know its getting warm, but it will still be skiable by may 12th, right? somebody give me some good news please-----------

I've never seen Tuckerman not open mid May. Based on current snow I'd say good skiing till the end of May before the snow receeds too much and then you risk it all on a spill into the rocks.

I'm siked for Tucks on 5/13 and 5/14. I go to UVM, and skied Stowe until it closed 4/29. I hoped it wouldn't be my last trip this year. As soon as finals are done, I'm heading up the ravine, probably see you up there. Peace.
