I hope to make it up one day, not sure which. Might have the boys in tow, not sure yet. Had a great time last year.

There are some givens:
1. Seeker,
2. My spawn are booked 5/21 and 5/22, I'm in 5/29 and 5/30, probably packing extra teenagers,
3. Lawn chairs,
4. The Q grill,
5. Wind break and extra ski poles,
5. Show up at Otto opening time,
6. Meat cooler,
7. Beer cooler,
8. Sun screen,
9. Water,
10. Cigar cutter and lighter,
11. Surfer shorts.
Lots of choices to make:
1. 1 plank or 2 planks?
2. If 1 plank, which board?
3. Which cigars?
4. Which meats?
5. Which beers?
6. Which butcher shop?
7. Which hawaiian shirt?
I think that about covers it.

Coverage?
I keep looking at the cams trying to get a peek up high.
I'd like to attend this year, if there's some snow left.

Week Early, Week Too Late
inches and inches of rain plus pac man fog for the past week will probably result in slackfest being 2 weeks late. will probably be more desperate than even last year, which was pretty desperate as far as skiing goes.
parts of tux will be the deal going forward probably. like mid june now.
been one heckuva season.

I haven't seen data for that w/e yet, a few more days and the picture will begin to take shape.

Fortunately, there are plenty of things to do in the area , so I expect we'll find a way to have fun regardless. Can't decide whether to bring the road bike or just stick to hiking. We'll be up there all weekend, so it might be nice to have some options.

Easties look like there will be (correction 200+ feet) not 400 of vert for Slackefesting this w/e
As long as the road is open I'll be there
Beginning on Saturday:
Bring coolers, gas grills (no charcoal, no fires), beach/lawn furniture...
Ski down and walk back up 'till you are thirsty,
head for the cooler to slake that thirst.
repeat until hungry
head for the grill to put an end to that hunger.
Repeat as necessary...
Do it again on Sunday..
One more round on Monday whereupon the 10th Mountain Slalom (it's not a race) will be set up so we can remember....
Weather looks great for Monday:
Quote:
Friday Night
Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Lows in the mid 50s.
Saturday
Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 70s. Chance of rain 50 percent.
Saturday Night
Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Lows in the mid 50s.
Sunday
Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 70s. Chance of rain 50 percent.
Sunday Night
Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Lows in the mid 50s.
Memorial Day
Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s.
