Sunday 3/4

Mount Washington might be the only place to go by Sunday, and Saturday looks out of the question with winds potentially hitting the 100 mark. If anyone's considering heading to the rockpile, I'm about 50/50 depending on how the weather evolves... (Lisa will not be around)

Ughh.. This "mixed precip" crap is really messing up the weekend. Was hoping to tour one day and do some lift serviced the other. What are other peeps' plans for the wknd? It's not easy to motivate when reading about potential 100mph winds and rain!

Camel's Hump, below the Hump, on the East Side might be all right...potential for falling limbs, but the snow will still be there on Saturday.

The usual NW facing lines on Bald Hill (aka The Rump) might be a bit frosty, but below the ridge on the very steep SE face might be okay on Saturday...pretty tight over there. I took a peek last season and was inspired...mind the cliffouts! If not for the knee, I'd be having a looksee under those conditions.

Gooood advice. Just read up on the hump. Those glades on the eastern side def. seem like a good call. Unfortunately VT isn't in the cards for me this weekend. I may just have to don a trashbag like the good ol days and take a few slushy turns in the rain before making friends with a case of Coors.

Not really. She'll be recovering from an endurance race in VT tomorrow and in no shape to ski.

Just bring your ski kite and get up the mountain quickly!

Probably not as effective in the woods....

My hide got a little frosted during the Winter Death Race in Pittsfield, VT - wading creeks in the middle of the night carrying logs, and looking for where they hid our clothes made for some chilling experiences. Thankfully the forecasted frozen rain did not appear. I was still in no shape to ski, after 28 hours racing.
