Server Move

Yup its about that time again...

Time to move the site to a faster (but more importantly) cheaper server.

Some of you might have been alarmed to see a 'GoDaddy' page appear instead of T4T earlier today. Sorry about that! Doing some preliminary DNS changes in preparation to the move shortly. Everyone should by now see T4T again instead of the GoDaddy girls

I am just in the process of doing tests to see if our very old version of vBulletin will run on the new server. Fingers crossed. If not I'll foot the bill for a new license but will be looking for donations to help cover the costs. The current Google Ads running on the site are covering most of the server costs finally, but I'm running out of deep pockets. Would like to be able to get back to the year 2012 with the site, at least with the backend software. Isn't the home page looking so 1997 by now? lol

I'll post here, updates on when the final transfer to the new server is going to happen. There will be a bit of time when the forum will either be non accessible, or members will not be able to post prior to the move.

Busy busy trying to finish this (along with some other sites). Anyways hoping to schedule in the final copy of the forum tomorrow to the new server. Will likely have some downtime and a few things might linger to be fixed.

Will be doing another attempt today to convert T4T for our new server, so any postings make today about 2:30pm today will likely be lost.

Congrats! You made it to our new server.

Upgrade to latest vBulletin V3 went ok. V4 is a pain in the butt. Not going that route at this point in time. Main concern is getting what we had working on the new server.

Considering much of the underlining code (besides vBulletin) was about 10 years old there was lots of code conversion.

I'm going to be away here and there but will work out the rest of the kinks as time permits, hopefully by the end of May.
