Search for Snow this Sunday!

Myself and a few others will be heading into the ravine this Sunday to lay tracks on whatever patches of snow remain. Last year we skied on July 3rd (MadPatSki remembers) but I don't think we'll get there this year. As such I'm beginning to mentally prepare for the possibility that this will be my last day of the season. If any of you are also in the bowl come say hello! I'll be the long-haired knee-dropping ginger. I know that sounds scary, but fear not, ginger-vitis is not contagious.

Looks like nice weather for Sunday.
I might just do a simple summit hike, leaving my ski gear (red Dynafit pack and Trab skis) at the top of Lower Sluice, then on the 4260' descent skiing (carefully!) ~100' for a 2.3% ski percentage.

I can't go this weekend (I have something in town Saturday night), however I'm thinking Monday. Is there any interest for more turns on Monday? Anyone?

Anybody been up to the ravine in the last 5 days? Is there anything left after torrential rain?

Sunday : 0%
Monday : 0%
June turns later : 90%
No June turns for the first time since 2004 : 10%

You know what? I've skied June 10 at 2-3 times before. From the start, I couldn't go on Sunday...however you guys (T4T & TGR) got me almost to skip a dance show with the family and friend that came down from Montreal. You know what? I decided not be selfish...think of others....plus that would give me a better options that seem to be raising. The fact that I got 4 tix on points for San Francisco in August less than one hour is also a plus.

I have to absolutely be in Montreal next Friday. Radiohead is also playing. I might ski next weekend. Last turns in the East? I've gotten first and last day of liftserved in the East, probably the only. Hey, I have to look at the positive on my pathetic season (worst in days since 2001).

Everyone that is going ... have great fun ... be careful ... watch for the boulders, the bugs and bikinis if it's the same crew as last July 2. Looking forward for some great Beta for next weekend.

I'd really like to join you guys. Looks like it going to be a blast, but sometimes you have to skip your turn to better recharge.

Is anyone still interested in next Sunday?
