Joe Dodge Lodge

I think the last weekend in March I am going up to Tux.

I'd like to stay at Joe Dodge Lodge if possible, but am lacking the deails.

Can some one tell me what exactly is the boarding like?

Last year when we returned from Tux and passing through the visitors center there was a bunch of Joe Dodge Lodge Guests waiting to eat in the mess hall.

How does all of that work, food, board, and what not, and does anyone have any pricing info. I heard its reasonably cheap.

Check this out: http://www.outdoors.org/lodging/pnvc/pnvc-lodge.cfm

They will even make you a tasty box lunch. The deal is, you make your reservation with or without meals, specific meals are an option. The prices are fair and the service is almost always fantastic. It is customary to tip the "croo"...they are a deserving bunch imo!

RR.

Thanks man !

Good info, sounds like a better time than waking up super early and driving the Kang from the Franconia side.

Joe Dodge is a lot of fun. You share a room with 3 other people probably, and there's a nice library to relax in, a TV room to watch red sox in, and the "rathskeller" I think it's called, which is a basement that's perfect for night-before-tux poker games and generally being loud without waking up the house. (There's a piano down there too...)

I found the cost on the high side personally... I think you can find a B&B nearby for around $50 and get a private room etc... but I recommend doing Joe Dodge for yourself to see if it fits your style.
