Top to Bottom?
Thinking of trying to ski Mt. Washington top to bottom if the weather is good. Ive wanted to do it for a few years now. Me and some of my friends are trying to do it one of the first weekends of april. Were going to try to book it right out of school on a friday and get up to Pinkham by 4. Wake up saturday check the conditions and head up to the summit if its ok. (Is there a good place to rent crampons and an ice ax anywhere?) Hopefully we'll be able to get down the Sherburne then get home saturday night just in time for work sunday morning. Whats it going to be like trying to get a lean-to that late on a friday and whats the process to get one? Any other gear besides the normal tux stuff and sleeping gear that i should bring? Any suggestions would be great.
