farmski is on a distinguished road
hillman's highway 5/19/09

Got a relaxed start at around 9:15. Warm sun, cloudless skies, no breeze, quickly rising temps. Perfect day of late may skiing.

First snow... right before the third bridge

Hillman's from Hojo's

Bottom of Hillman's looking up

I did two runs from as far up as I could go on the right side of the "Y" on Hillman's. There's a choke point a little ways down from the top... there's snow above it but there's no way around it on skis (that I could ski) so not much point in going higher. Some signs of undermined snow on climber's left about half way up. Still plenty of snow up there... could survive the weekend if the temps don't get too high later this week.

Thanks for posting the report. My friend and I were up there also.
My camera is out of commission and he forgot his camera.
I was hoping to have a cupola photos to show my wife. You let me.

We might have run into you at top. Were you with two other guys? Two telemark and one fixed I think.

It was quite a day for sure. Just a slight breeze, no clouds, soft snow. Nothing better.
