Anyone Headed North on Sat, Feb 25 From CT? ...Or Sunday...
Looking at the forecast...

I'm guessing the Avy levels will elevate if the higher summits forecast is correct, so travel in the ravine might be too risky...we'll need to wait to see...however...

I'm wondering if anyone from the CT area including central MA area is thinking about/willing to do or planning to make a berserka day run...maybe get up there early in the AM (5-5:30 ish) do some laps (even if it means staying away from the "danger" and doing some lower stuff...Sherbi, GOS...something else...I'm open if it's in some of this expected new stuff...) and return that day...?

I was up there all last weekend so I can't do an overnight...the family will start to get suspicious...

I'd love to go up but I'm looking to share the ride...

Thanks...judging by the TR, I guess we just missed each other Monday.

I had a buddy with me who is new to the whole skinning process. Our goal was to end our 4 day adventure on the north side (hiking and tenting) by just skinning to the caretakers cabin and go down Sherbie and be headed home by 11:00ish...never intended to head up into the ravine...

man it was windy, but your photos made me second guess our plan...probably for the best overall...I was trying to cultivate a skiing partner...not break him.

Always interested in getting up north.
