mmmm cornice drops.
I had one let go on me inbounds at whistler kinda spooky fell about 30 feet onto my knees in powder (thankfully). I heard the whump! and had enough time to turn see the crack open and try to point it but to no avail.

Narrator: Usually found in more southerly latitudes the Alpine cousin of the emeror peguin has been known to stalk, kill and consume humans. Lying in wait in the well travelled back country they have been known to systematically cull large groups of alpine enthusiasts. Lying prone and frail the unsuspecting treker pauses to admire the penguin and when he takes off his pack to reach for his camera the Alpine Penguin leaps up for the throat to quench its thirst for human blood.

You ever watch chilly willy....that is one evil penguin.

Kinda looks more like a mini ardvark me thinks.
