Hi all! I just got back from a great trip to B.C., which included a less than great day at Whistler. The trip was five days in the Vancouver area, and I had to steal one of them to ski. Drove up the Sea-to-Sky highway from Vancouver to Whistler in the rain. When we got there, no snow was to be seen, because all the snow was above the cloud line (i.e. in even more rain). Took the gondola up to where the snow was and skied off the four lifts running there. Went from cold/snow at the top, through to almost snow, then sleet, then rain and slush as we skied each run. Wasn't dressed properly to keep fully warm and dry and my hands got pretty chilled inside the soaking gloves. Gave up after a few hours and went inside to dry off. No photos, as it was WAY too wet to risk taking the camera out. I have one from the gondola, showing the green lower slopes though... Had been hoping for a great end-of-season experience but ended up rather sad.
I did pick up a bunch of

though to console me!
