Phish is breaking up!
I have seen that some of you regulars are phishheads so I thought Id break the bad news. There is a message from trey on their official site and they are finished. Coventry is the LAST SHOW! This band has been a big part of my life for the last 13 years. I am absolutely crushed but we will have one hell of a final blow out in VT. WE MUST ROCK AND ROLL!

I'll be there.... And SPAC and Coney Island...
This is not unexpected to me... I actually agree with them...
Lets not forget how BAD the Dead got towards the end...
Coventry!!!! HARPUA!!!!!

yip... i liked the part where Trey said something to the degree of " we don't want to become caricatures or worse nostalgia". Well put, and IMO it's time. I'm not surprised either.

Phish is 10 times the better band than the dead....my opinion.
But lets not forget how bad the greatful dead STILL is.

I totally disagree. Listen to any Grateful Dead from 77- that blows away ANY era of Phish, IMO.

I was driving down the road today. And some **** hit a possum.
This phish break-up crap is the sucks.
Me sitting 4 seats away from Steven King at tonight's Red Sox game did not suck.

This whole Phish thing isn't that big to me anymore....
I got home last night and saw the Phish announcement and I was a little upset...
Then I got a call that a friend of mine from Philly - who I saw a few Phish shows with - died yesterday... She had MS and it just overcame her... We're may scatter some of her ashes at the Coventry show...
I'm not sure where I'm going with this...

It's very clear where you are going with this D. Phish breaking up isn't all that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. At least we have fabulous memories of the last 15 years thanks to their work...
