Guido, 12/13

Well right near Guido
Spent a couple hours clearing a trail I first envisioned last spring, kinda runs parallel to Guido. Snow report, one patch of frozen granular about 200cm long, no base. Probably shouldn't be doing this till after knee surgery, but I want to make sure it's skiable when I am. This particular trail, and I use the term loosely, is pretty tight, in many places not much wider than a snowboard, but there are lots of potential lines and I cleared some emergency escape lines. Some tricky off camber stuff but lots of little chutes that, once cleared, will be fun to explore. Nice open snowfield at the bottom, less hiking I think than Guido. I may head back up in a day or two at lunch if any interested parties. Sometimes when I cut a trail it looks pretty easy till I try to ski it. This looks like it'll be a hoot, but I may be forgetting that I'm not that good on teles yet...

I'm insterested in helping. Gotta head up to MHT sometime this week for some shopping - maybe I could take a 1/2 day and do some trail work and shopping.

I can do tomorrow or Wednesday. Wednesday looks like it might be a bit better weather, but cold doesn't bother me. In fact I sweat my butt off today... PM me..

You made the right choices. Turns out climbing up and working on the trail before knee surgery was not my brightest move, could barely walk yesterday, still swollen today. I think I got enough cleared to at least get some turns, once it snows I'll take ya up and show you, but looks like my illusions of Dec/Jan skiing were delusions... Let me know when you have some lunch time, I'll put on the brace and bring you up...
