It was sat last year, and it starts super early ie dawn.
Just keep your ears open when hiking up the trail and move to the side when you hear a runner coming. I was jealous seeing those runners last year flying up the trail with no gear.

Son of the Inferno is Saturday, April 16th. Probably adds a couple hundred people to the already thousand or so I bet will be there this weekend. It just adds to the fun - I wouldn't let it affect a go/no-go decision.

Hey, get a good hike or skin in, enjoy some sun, watch some racing.... get some skiing in.. do a little tailgating... sounds like it only enhances the experience to me. (besides the few hundred extra people- but in my mind, 2000 or 2200 really isn't much different)

ummm I would be thinking more like 4000, judging by the weather forcast and last weekends crowds.

I'll bet 3 of those will be in the ravine, with the 1 around hillmans.

Dodge's first thing it is then, then probably head over to GOS

Ha ha... no I noticed a week or too ago... its on the 'to do when I think I should get this done list'. I'm in 'roaming' mode this week so not apt to be doing much in the way of updates. One green ball wouldn't hurt anyone would it?

People were probably jealous at my girlfriend two years ago when I had her skies and boots attached to my bag (after the first 1/2 mile) hiking up to the hojos. They probably thought I was crazy......

Looks like it is going to be a nice weekend at the ravine!
