i remeber driving in that area going to sugarloaf, there was a ton of snow way more then sugarloaf, i would say about 4-5 ft on the ground when i went, but still the total still seems a little crazy

That must have been some kind of reporting error.
I doubt that little spot in southwestern NY got 388-453 in. either... I mean lake effect snow is one thing but we're talking Utah seasonal snow amounts here.

I recall reading something earlier this winter about snowfall map anomalies -- essentially reporting errors. Can't recall the reason why, nor my source... I know that area did get hit a little harder by one storm in particular, but 200" more than the rest of the state? Doubtful at best.

Why is Jay so far behind all of the rest?
They always get the most. I assume that's for the lower elevations and the town of Jay area.
Ugh, I got 0-65 inches.

Don't think it was a blockbuster year for Jay.

I also suspect an error... there were some bugs with this map earlier in the year as well.

I remember that... Keene NH was hit pretty hard.
To be clear. I agree but don't think this was a huge snow year for jay. Seemed the snow was more spread out this year decreasing the "jay cloud".

Actually that's more then I thought -- Just that everywhere did well in terms of snow so Jay didn't "stick out" this year.
