Exclamation When does parking start to bite?

At what point in the weekend (fri, sat, sun) does parking start to become a pain in the a--? Going up tomorrow, but may have a late start from central VT. Hope the weather holds...Will I be able to park at the visitor ctr with little trouble?

I'm only asking because you guys seem to have all the answers...

I'll provide you with my spring data points thus far:

April 21, Saturday (also Son of Inferno Race), perfect weather, arrived about 8:10, had to park far away.

May 6, Sunday, perfect weather, arrived about 9:00, had to park in first Forest Service lot (which still had quite a few spaces) south of Pinkham, but so close to AMC it was almost like being in the AMC lot.

friday shouldn't be a problem.
last saturday we got to the lot at 8:20 and we parked in the lot below the amc lot (about 150 yards). by 8:30, they were parking down lower, in the lot off to the right. (about 500 yards).
