M@ and DMC slide together at last - March 18th
5+ years on this board, many times meeting for the par-tay and the hey-hey, but never the sliding. When - oh - when will I slide with DMC?
We are past the 1/2 way mark in a pretty pathetic east coast season and I dunno where else it could possibly happen except for one special place.
A magical place.
A place with a powerful aura.
So I look to the stars for the date...
(really... I'm going to this webpage http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/MoonPhase.html)
March 18th.
The logic is the first weekend after a full moon (which is on Pi Day this year (3.14.06)) - anyone got a better reason? We can hike up in the moon light on thursday night, and that early in March we should be able to ski down. I'm sure we'll find some avalanach experts to find us the right way down if it's an issue. Or just make it a day trip... mmm... day trippin. Can I get a "Hell Yeah" ?

The logic is inescapable, the math inescapable; may the moon light glisten on freshies for that historic event!

It's been my lot in life this winter... Too much playing music..
May be able to make the Thursday night hike up and take Friday off though...

It is - click "Roll Call" above. But I think the 2005 stuff might be morhped into 2006 or something - there's a lot of people listed for a lot of 2006 dates in there and not much chatter about them in the threads.

I don't ski naked for guys or with guys unless we're completely polluted. Besides, I think the date is supposed to be the 11th... provided there IS snow left in da Ravine. I probably should remove naked skiing so as not to scare away peeps.
March 18th! Moonshine! ....and I don't mean .

I'm bumping my prob down to 71% becuase of baby sitting complications.
My sister-in-law is moving back to the area from VA. Beach, and almost IMMEDIATLY she is ruining what was our most reliable baby sitting option, i.e. my Mother in Law.
I'm pretty sure if we can get Elwood to commit to the trip than the tide will turn and the lovely wife will decide it's just too good for me to pass it up.... wait - hold that (researching...) ... moe is having "SNOE.DOWN" that weekend in lake placard. Sigh.
So probably no elwood.
So spin me at 71% right now. I'm working on options tho. It might end up being the whole fam (Me + Wife + 5yrO + 3yrO) doing the casual day trip weather permitting. Which would be a MAJOR photo op and good time by all kinda thing.
