Jay Tomorrow 3/23?

Jay has gotten 3 feet of snow and they are say they are going to get another foot tonight! Pics and powder reels look SICK. Thinking about heading up tonight and staying at my club .. then to Jay in the AM although I could handle driving straight to Jay in the AM. I have all my gear local. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Love to, but gotta work Give us a report when you get back... I'm thinking about heading up this weekend, but worried that there won't be much left to justify an 8 hour roundtrip.

Was there on Sunday after about 2.5 of the 3 feet. Conditions for the most part were great. The trees had some soft snow throughout the day. Most of the groomers had been worked over by the weekend crowd by mid-day. Some trails had open water ice, not unlike the sherbie.

But...They keep getting more and more snow.

Go for it.

Plan is set metting Skilasnow at his place dark and early at 4AM. Should be on first tram tomorrow. Still have one seat open in the car if anyone wants to jump in. Could be the last big E-Coast dump of the season!

Phishing is on a distinguished road
I was there monday & yesterday. Monday AM was full on powder then the wind picked up. Wasn't a ton left (freshies) in the trees by tuesday PM.

The Dip was deep on monday AM. It has received a ton of traffic since. BJ would be a good call. I am sure the wind reset it, but most people were staying away.

Conditions could be anywhere from glop to ice to awesome. I had
knee deep powder off the ridge this morning, but CanAm had some pretty bad icy troughs between the moguls and getting in was not for the faint of heart. They say snow is on the way, probably is. Backcountry'll hold it best. Traffic and wind'll blast whatever comes down off the mountain in short work. -course, there are always the glades, but if there are ups and downs in temp, they'll get hard pretty quick too. You'll have fun longer at the resort with skis no matter what. But snowboards always kick butt in the back. See you in Jay.

It's all about surface area and my Tele daddies float GREAT in the pow. They'll give me as much float as all but the fattest power snow board .. and I can climb, traverse and ski with them with the flick of my pole.

I was not impugning your tools of choice, rainman. I was simply pointing those of the uniboard ilk to areas where they might find conditions more suitable on windscoured (sic) and pounded down days.

Enjoy your ride

There hasn't been a good flame-war here in months. Somebody better step it up before the season ends, or I'll be taking newspapers into the men's room soon.
