Best belay ledge ever!

15 mins outside of Vancouver and you can climb sea cliffs. Cathryn and I enjoyed a nice afternoon in the sun with some really good climbing. There are not many places you can climb, watch the boats go by and catch a beautiful sunset at the same time. I need to get a grigri or reverso so I can take pics and belay at the same time. I shouldn't look so happy, we both failed miserablely on a 11D slab shortly after the pic was taken and had to settle for a 10c varriation.
Tomorrow we hope to get a few routes in on the Cheif before the weather turns. I am offically in spring mode, my splitboard is going to be missing me for awhile.

Lowering Cathryn from the best belay ledge ever. (don't tell that to the High E ledge in the gunks!)

Sunset

I've been up some 11d gym or outdoor jug/dyno hauls but the 11d slabs I've been on I've found virtually impossible and even sometimes incomprehensible...

Great scenery man the pacific northwest has an unbelievable coastline.

Cool...is that out by Horseshoe Bay?
I seem to remeber a bunch of diving rocks in some little municipal park around the point from the Ferry Terminal.

Whats that climbing called when you free-climb over open-water? The stuff in that video you had.....

You should do that. Beautiful.

One of the few good excuses for warmer weather. Nice looking spot. Ahem, while it's nice to see your smiling face and all....show us Cathryn!

Affix, that's deep water soloing, the rocks would kind of get in the way at this spot. The 11d crux is an over hang with good feet but little in terms of hands, basicaly two little crips big enough for two fingers. The rock was still wet, I think we could send it if it wasn't slimmy and the last route of the day. Cathryn is abit camera shy, I will have to sneak up on her.
