New Job Title
Since this forum has been used in the past to make non-T4T related announcements, I though I'd add this here.
I have a new job title, and a pretty kick-ass one at that:
Wine Buyer
"So, what do you do?"
"I buy wine."
The pay still sucks, but, Oh The Perks!

Skilas,
You'd enjoy meeting my bro-in-law. He's a wine seller. Too bad he can only sell in New York though. We have the stupidest liquor laws in the country.

We get the highest allocation because we have the highest prices. I can buy the same stuff in New Hampshire for less than the NY wholesale price. Whenever I go I have a shopping list from friends and I look like something out of a current day Dukes of Hazard movie.

Affix,
Is that the one at the Glen? If so you should have a great time. Bring a designated driver, they have something like 70 wineries that will be there. I highly recommend Dr. Frank's if you happen to find them in the crowd. Another good one would be Glenora.
Enjoy

Fun! The finger lakes are particularly well suited to Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewurtsraminer. Don't expect too much from the noble reds (except maybe a Pinot Noir or two). Watch out for any Ice Wine, there ought to be a few, this is a late harvest sweet / dessert wine, should be tasted after everything else, generally very rich and will ruin anything you try to taste afterwards unless you eat some serious food between.
