Talking TUX 4th July 2006 Vids posted

Hey gang, I couldn't wait to show these vids so here are the links to four clips of Harkin and my adventure on the mount on the 4th. I find the vid quality not too good on youtube but hey... it's there. Perhaps I could upload these to T4T someday for the great archive. Enjoy!

I have several still photos which are worthy of viewing. I'll figure out where to post them soon.

The one part of the last one is sick, and I love the crowd clapping in the end of the first...That's something I want to do eventually....

Psyched! What a day! It's all I could think of to say before my first run, "For those about to rock..."....Of course we were about to start peaking, so we were in a serious hurry!
Nothing like turning the skis on July snow!!!
wahoowahoo!

Reps. I like Harkin shooting 8's from inside the gap in the last one. Crazy tight turns must've been intense visually.

Let's just say intense 'all around.' But I have to tell ya, I had a blast! This wasn't the first time in this mode and I knew it would put an interesting 'slant' on things.

Someone here had repped me with a comment saying...."So, iff you had to choose...would it be tune in, turn on or drop out??? Well done!" My choice was a little different...... Tune in, drop in and turns on.

Peaking? I think that brings back memories of Tuckerman`s in 1980

Definitely Intense! Yeah, I knew when I got the camera to film one of 8's runs that I'd have to do it from that two foot gap, with the camera turned upward when he went over the gap.
I'm just glad that everyone's finally getting to see the lunacy that ensued throughout the day! I've most definitely been higher in my life (though not while trying to do something that requires one's FULL attention to stay alive), but not for the last ten years! I needed a spliff just to come down and feel 'normal'!!
You guys gotta come up with us deranged folk next time, although since we'd decided to go only eight hours or so before we left, that might have been difficult. Then again, probably not as difficult as watching those vids and thinking: "I shoulda been there with them!!!"
A truly MAGICAL day!
