please, no . . .
Following two clippers (tues & thurs) that will drop some more snow on the north country, the meteo-geeks are calling for a significant rain/ice event for Sun/Mon. Please, Ullr, don't let this happen.

Well, the forecast has moderated somewhat, calling for chance of ice/sleet in central/northern VT. Cold air is supposed to follow Thursday's clipper (which could drop up to 6", btw), so maybe just maybe, enough can hang on to beat back the rain? I'm crossing my fingers that Killington's altitude works in its favor, as I've seen it do in the past. From the discussions and maps, it looks like the northern mtns (Jay, Smuggs, etc.) could see all snow? I'll be glued to the various meteo websites, because the season's just begun and I don't want it to end!! Pour some libations for Ullr . . .

We're still at least 5 days out.... and you know how they like to change the reports.... prior to weekends, it's all rosy for the media marketing blitz and then post weekend, maybe the truth... It'll change again.... and again.... and again.

According to WMUR the storm looks to head south of us...total bummer. I haven't had nearly enough snow days this year. And not even ski/snowboard days, I mean just days where I'm 'forced' to stay at home and not work all day.
Here's to a snowy March!

Okay, seeing as I started this post with the then predicted doom and gloom, which didn't pan out, I'm hoping this post will have the same effect on this Friday's current forecast. 'Cause if this thing is on the borderline and it turns to r***, it could effectively spell the end of the season (and from the forecasts, it doesn't look like places even as far north as Jay will be spared). Here's the current GFS precip type prediction:
