Will be heading up to Tucks Friday morning w/ my brother-in-law from NM. Hopefully things continue to slide back down in Avi rating. Anyone else gonna be up that day?

Route planning is a tricksy business. My advice is to talk to the rangers at HoJo's and make your route decision then, based on the best info you can get.

Hillman's is always in my back-up plan list. I agree Left Gully would be nice - but without a good assessment of the conditions I wouldn't decide now.

Good discussion of the snowpack in the Ravine today on the USFS Avy Bulletin. Hillman's (and LG, I think) is LOW. But if it doesn't warm up between now and tomorrow, yer pretty much fooked! Summit high today will be -20 . . .

In the clear under partly sunny skies with increasing clouds overhead in the afternoon.
Highs: zero to 10 above°F
