Sierra trading post

I got the latest Sierra Trading Post winter sports flyer in the mail the other day. They had a larger than normal selection of AT & Tele gear - I think there were some scarpa AT boots for about $180.

I'm not current on what is a good deal or not - just passing this along to anyone who might be looking.

As far as Scarpa boots go, at closeout prices any 2006/2007 gear is probably a good buy with the possible exception of the Magic... that's an extremely lightweight women's boot, designed for smaller women, some would say it's too lightweight.

Matrix and Denali TT's are still great boots, but some people might prefer to get the more recent Spirit 3 or Sprit 4, for the slightly better stiffness-to-weight ratio.

I don't know of any major changes in Garmont's boot lineup this year, so last year's Garmont closeouts should be great deals.
