Was there on Wed and was witness to the sh!t show that was about to ensue the next morning - leads everywhere, boom cams practicing shots, etc. Skiing was pretty good - dead quiet for a holiday week. As expected, it sucked - even with the bulk of the trails looking like coral reefs.

Maybe a TR in the next day or 2 of the accidental beer tour of VT that my wife and I embarked on when the skiing wasn't quite as stellar as we had hoped the past 3 days...

My favorite bartender in the whole world is in this clip here, near the end: Shawn F - best bartender ever. He sucks.

Johnny Egan, one of the most rad skiers on the planet....and he's asked to explain layering....

what a waste!

Sure, he made it clear and simple...great job John, say I...but what about following him in the namesake glades...at least! For crying out loud, there are six RSN camera operators in the Happy Valley, one of them could have been hired to do that!!!

:head shake:

I'll second/third/eighth the sentiment, but the glades on that day? A deathwish - it was pure coral out there off the groom. Mr. Egan would have no doubt survived, but that poor cameraman...

Impossible. There are no good glades at Sugarbush. That place sucks, that is why the Today show was there. The today show couldn't handle a mountain the caliber of Killington.

Ya have to admit that skiing cameramen/women are the unsung heros of video/film of the sliding world. You can't imagine.... well this bunch can... skiing/riding with 50#+ gear for shooting in the crumholts on the edge of the pristine lines the 'actors' get to enjoy for the money shot. There's a lot of crap they have to go through to get those money shots.

Let's hear it for camera people! They rock!

Oh yeah.... I need not remind everyone that the 'bush sucks.
