Near KMart 3/29-3/30/08
Sliding the nearby resort for the final weekend of their season. Snow is in the forecast but will prolly not materialize or be mature anti-jinx, anti-jinx. Just booked Inn @ Long Trail Fri-Sat for $75/nt Bed n Breakfast for 2.
Mmmmmmm Guinness on the rock in the Irish Pub.
Mmmmmmm Irish Pub Guinesss Stew to the sounds of traditional music.
Mmmmmmm freshies in the springtime.

Uh, why would you be drinking Guinness if you're anywhere near Bridgewater Corners? Are you a Commie?

Well actually, I am quite sympathetic to the Socialist Workers . . . uh, nevermind.
Dood - You ever taste the Guinness at McGrath's? It's exceptional. Plus, it combines with LT to make the official Vermonter half n half. I'd expect a student at the flagship of the State University system to know that much. Oh yeah, you're what, a Soph? Guess you aren't legal yet, so your opinions on adult beverages don't count (at least in Vermont). I'll have a pint for you anyway, ssw.
Cheers.

Long Trail brewery closes early. McGrath's Irish Pub at the Inn at the Long Trail is the spot.
SSW, Pulver know what's up, don't you worry.
My K-mart trips go like this:
Stop at LT Brewery on the way up. purchase case of beer for weekend.
Ski at Kmart
Drink at McGrath's
Eat Guiness stew
Drink more
Go to Wobbly/Pickle Barrel/whatever
Drink more
Go back to wherever I am staying
Drink more
Pass out
Wake up
Breakfast at Johnny Boys
Ski at Kmart
Head down to brewery
Buy more beer
Go home

Reps...
Clearly at least one College student is paying attention....
Too bad the Alchemist is too far away from there or you could ignore the Guiness mix and get the good stuff, Pappy's Porter for instance...No Mixing required to achieve perfection!
it's in Waterbury

Sorry man, I'm not a Guinness fan I guess. Though for my minor, I'm required to take a class entitled "What's Brewing in Food Culture?" I bet ya you never had the opportunity to take a brewing class in your college experience. And that's what really counts. In Vermont, and everywhere else.

Pulver, I'll be at Killington this weekend as well. Gotta spend some time with my non-BC bros, even though it looks like it may be a fine weekend on the Rockpile . . .
I'll PM you with contact info.

Cool boardman - No major BC for me either . Gotta make up for blowing off the GF and her fam for Easter (so I could chase pow at Jay with Pwdr8s, Pwdrhound and tig ) by taking her to the Inn.
I'll most likely be sliding at Pico and drinking at the Inn. I'll bring my split, teles and skins and may take a shot at a short BC run up / near the LT after riding the lifts Sat.

My buddy wants to ski Stowe on Saturday, and that doesn't look like an entirely bad idea weather-wise either. I don't want to pay for two days at $teaux so I'll be back at KMart on Sunday.

Looks like the Thur-Fri snow's trending south, yuckster - not sure whether we'll see it at K-Mart, much less Stowe (but what do I know? not much). We'll be sliding and drinking at the same places we met up two weeks ago (prolly without the lunatics from Rutland who entertained us with their antics) and we'll be hard-pressed to leave McGrath's in the evenings.

It's a tough call with the weather. The main storm's snowfall is trending far south, yes. There is some upslope potential after-the-fact, however, which will only affect the north. It's hard to say which will end up being more important.

www.snowforecast.com is calling for 2-5"; Henry's got Rutland somewhere on the cusp of the 1-3"/3-6" line.
But that's no matter, because it's supposed to be sunny and warm up there this weekend, so spring corn will hopefully be served!
Killington extended their season to April 20th, "due to great snow conditions and business levels." Isn't that just so good of them? arghh. Only reason I'm going there is because that's where my friends want to go . . .
