If anyone want's to give a shout on Ch9-Sec14 (a.k.a. 9-14) any T4T in the area will likely hear you.

You set the radio for channel 9 and digital quiet code 14. the quiet codes are designed to allow sharing of the same frequency by unrelated parties

it should say 9-14 on the display. or 9 with a 14 in superscript.

Motorola Instructions regarding what they call Interference Eliminator Codes.

To set the Channel and code:
1. Press and hold the center button until the Channel starts to flash, then release the center button.
2. Press (-) or (+) to select the channel.
3. Press and release the center button, the code starts to flash.
4. Press (-) or (+) to select the code.
You can set a different code for each channel using this procedure.
5.Wait about 8 seconds till the digits stop flashing. Your settings are saved. Alternately, you could also press and release the center button to go though your menu. going all the way through brings you back to the channel, which will not be flashing. Your settings are saved.

Note: You must set the Interference Eliminator Code to 0 on an FRS radio that uses Interference Eliminator Codes to communicate with other FRS radios that do not have Interference Eliminator Codes.[/SIZE]

High pressure will crest and move east today as an area of developing low pressure moves northward from the mid-Atlantic. Today, the fog will lift early but skies above will be increasingly cloudy as the low moves north. Clouds will start as cirrus before thickening and lowering for the overnight hours. Overnight, clouds will be above the summits but associated showers with the low should remain south. Tomorrow, things moisten up allowing for fog to start reforming on the summits. A few showers may spread inland as the low moves north into the Gulf of Maine. Showers will be a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow as temperatures hover around freezing. As fog forms, rime and glaze ice will generate ice, which can get thick this time of year, making for some slick conditions. Wind chills will be 0-10 above rising 15-25 above today falling back to 0-10 above overnight rebounding to 5-15 above tomorrow.
I was originally planning on heading up this weekend but with the weather I don't know. Sat seems to be a mix of rain, sleet and snow which doesn't sound nice. Then I was thinking of heading up for just Sunday but I am wondering if they get ice on Sat is it going to soften up enough Sunday to make it decent. Whats everyone else's opinion? Sunday is supposed to be fairly warm but I don't know. Due to the fact that I spent last weekend up there in the rain and its a 5.5 hr drive with crazy gas prices I might just skip this weekend.

Looking at G*** ** S***** on Sunday if the weather holds true to forecast. I would disclose the exact location but I do not want to lead any additional skiers away from the fantastic skiing in the Ravine.

**** ** ******

Oh, you would NEVER want to go to **** ** ******. It's HORRIBLE up there. It's much better in the ravine. When I was up in **** ** ****** on Wednesday, the whole place was overrun by blackflies and rabid beavers. Very scary with all those foamy mouthed beavers. I feared for my life. I heard they are giving away free beer at HoJo's this weekend.
